Foraging Presentation
28 Feb 2026 02:00pm
It's cold outside in February. Not too cold to hike, but maybe a bit too muddy for an enjoyable hike.
So while we wait for the wild things to start growing in the mountains, I will be giving a presentation on Saturday, Feb 28th at 2:00pm in Orem. (See the location below.) I will talk about what you need to know to get started in foraging for wild edible plants and about some of my personal favorites to forage.
Eating wild plants can be a bit scary, especially if you have never done it before. Even I have been in that situation. But there are resources available to help you out. Come and find out:
- What resources are available to help you identify plants.
- Where to research the edible and medicinal properties of plants.
- What edible plants are easiest to identify.
- Is foraging legal?
There might even be samples of wild foods.
